It is Phriday, 4.11.08 and I’m in Shizuoka and I’m warm.
Overdressed again. I can’t help it, I love zip-up hoodies. Wore main rain-ish coat because it was raining in Hamamatsu, and now everywhere I go I’m steamy and moist. I hate humidity.
For the entire morning I’ve felt oddly disconnected. You know how you wake up and you’re already half-checked out? You’ve already decided that today is not a ‘try’ kind of day? Had an RHB and hopped on the train. I played Zelda on DS the whole time, and when in Shizuoka walked around and visited Sunpu Koen for some pictures. It’s a bit sad that the sakura have fallen to the ground and are wet and trodden on. Hanami is definitely over.
I’m really not impressed with today’s shots, but I guess you can’t always have a good photo day. The point of Phridays is to just get the hell out and shoot, regardless of how I’m feeling or the weather, or whatever. It’s for the practice and for the archival process. I’ve at least accomplished that.
Made my way back to the station to wait for Kate to go to work. I’m having a coffee at starbucks. I’m thinking now that I should have gone for soba instead. Maybe I will yet…
