It was Saturday, 5.31.08 and it was rainy. I forgot to write last night, I got home much too late.
I got up at 10am and rushed to meet Peter to go to the gym. It was hard, yesterday we did arms and I was sore and tired. Finished cardio and stretched then did some stomach muscle things. We had lunch at the Royal Host and then I went home to get ready for work. While biking to school, Jeannine called and I felt very Japanese talking on my cell phone while en route. Taught 2 lessons and cleaned the classroom. It was pouring rain by this time so I decided to wrap my bag in a plastic sheet and bike home in it. I was drenched when I finally got there. It is Friday, 5.30.08 and really really windy in Hamamatsu.
I was up until 4am last night, so getting up at about 9:30 was a bit of a task, but I couldn’t sleep anymore. Tried getting a hold of Jeannine, but since I upgraded to Firefox 3’s BETA, Gtalk hasn’t been working on the gmail page. Bummer. I’ve been pretty bummed about my stolen bike and botched summer school demo. At 11am I met Peter at the station and we went to the gym to work on arms and do some cardio. It was really really fucking hard today. I showered and met Kozue at the station at 1:30pm and we went for lunch to Royal Host, where Peter had decided to meet with us. It is Thursday (already!), 5.29.08 and it is raining. Like that horrible sideways rain.
I woke up early and noticed there was water on my kitchen floor. The sideways rain decided to come through the window last night. Its the first day in a few weeks that I’ve taken a warm shower instead of a cool one. Went to Royal Host for breakfast and was really nervous for demos. It turns out I had good reason to be because I totally bombed on them and felt really bad. I missed multiple parts of the lesson and in turn was extremely embarrassed. I’ve gotten in the habit of my own lesson plans, and a sudden change in curriculum really messes me up, but I really ought to be able to adjust to something so minor. Woke up around 9am and messed about online until about 10am. Christopher has recently challenged me at Chess, which makes at least 5 people with multiple games I am engaged in. It’s really quite good and interesting I think, and Christopher is quite a challenge as well! I’m trying out the Reti opening on Scott in a few games, but I don’t think it’s going very well. He’s so well versed! Around 10am I had a quick Royal Host breakfast and hit the gym for an hour and a half doing cardio. I was exhausted by noon and headed home to recoup and do some laundry. It is Tuesday 5.27.08 and I was so hungover I could hardly stand this morning.
I woke up late around 11:30 to Jeannine calling me. I got up soon afterward and wrote yesterday’s journal entry. Struggling, I ate some lunch and talked to Jeannine for quite some time before headed to the gym around 3pm. I forgot my shoes so I had to walk all the way back, and as I came back I realized my bike had been taken from its usual place. The last time I rode it I must have not locked it up. I am actually writing this on the 28th, only because my evening didn’t exactly go as planed. I didn’t account for the nomihodai’s power. For most of the day I lazed around, getting out only for breakfast at around 9am and then later to take a walk down town to the eiden to pick up some audio cables for the PS3. I walked through my favourite part of Hamamatsu and took some photos of apartments and my favourite tiny places. One day I want to do a proper photo tour of my city, with audio and the whole nine. It’s Sunday 5.25.08 and rainy in the morning, but humid in the afternoon and evening.
Got up a bit later and went for breakfast. I totally could have gone to the gym, but didn’t. Instead, went to the internet café and scanned some prints from my first two rolls of 120mm with the Holga. The negatives I scanned from the 35mm didn’t come out, and I’m not sure why.
